Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what is and isn't allowed when using Quizimoto. It applies to all users, including those on free plans.

You may not use the Service to create, host, or distribute quizzes that contain:

Content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where it is accessed or distributed
Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content promoting violence against individuals or groups
Sexually explicit material or content exploiting minors in any way
Malware, phishing links, or deceptive content designed to steal credentials or personal data
Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
Misleading medical, legal, or financial advice presented as authoritative

If your quiz may be completed by users under 13 years old (or under 16 in the EU):

You must comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and applicable local laws.
You must obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data from children.
You must not use lead capture fields to collect personal data from children without appropriate safeguards.
We reserve the right to suspend quizzes that appear to target minors without appropriate protections.

Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, submission quotas, or plan restrictions.
Do not generate artificial submissions (bot traffic, scripted submissions) to inflate metrics.
Do not abuse the API with excessive requests beyond documented limits.
Free tier users must not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.

Do not embed quizzes on websites you do not own or have authorization to modify.
Do not use embeds to scrape or harvest data from host websites.
Do not inject malicious scripts through custom CSS or quiz content.
Do not use the embed to render content unrelated to quizzes or decision flows.

When using AI-powered features (question generation, BYOK AI):

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing.
Do not use AI features to generate prohibited content (see Section 2).
Do not attempt to extract or reverse-engineer AI model behavior through the Service.
Comply with your AI provider's terms of service when using BYOK.

Do not use quiz submissions as a pretext for sending unsolicited marketing emails outside of what respondents consented to.
Webhook integrations must not be used to add respondents to mailing lists without explicit consent.
Email notifications sent through the Service must relate directly to quiz submissions.

We may take the following actions for violations:

Warning: For first-time minor violations, we will contact you to resolve the issue.
Quiz suspension: Individual quizzes may be unpublished if they violate this policy.
Account suspension: Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension.
Account termination: Serious violations (illegal content, malware) may result in immediate termination without notice.

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
